Boris Johnson’s managed something few prime ministers have ever managed before – he’s lost his first House of Commons vote. Congratulations, PM!

MPs backed a move that will allow them to vote on a bill tomorrow which will in effect outlaw a no-deal Brexit.

Johnson’s humiliating defeat earns Johnson a record of sorts, just not one he would have wanted.
