This Uber driver’s ‘conversation menu’ should be compulsory in every cab

We just stumbled upon this Uber driver’s ‘conversation menu’ and it got us wishing that it was compulsory in every cab. Along with wearing a mask, obviously.

Just in case that’s tricky to read …

Ride Menu, Fairbanks, Alaska

The Road Rage Ride – I complain about every other driver, their vehicles and why they shouldn’t be allowed on the road!

The Analyst Ride – Something bothering you? I listen with a sympathetic ear and maybe help you see your problem with some clarity. (No guarantees).

The Informative Ride – I tell you as much as I can about Alaska and why you didn’t start here long enough to see all the important stuff.

The Restaurant Ride – I talk about the variety of restaurants and help you decide where to eat. Sometimes I even offer suggestions on which waitress to ask for.

The Simon and Garfunkel Ride – Sounds of Silence.

The Life’s Lessons Ride – I share some of life’s most essential lessons. Take ’em or leave ’em.

The Political Ride – Just kidding. You have yours, I have mine. I can’t change your mind and you can’t change mine.

The ME Ride – I tell you all about me.

Want your picture taken. A course in photography has given me a solid foundation for snapping good pictures.

And here are our favourite things people said about it after it was shared by That1Girrl over on Reddit

‘Jokes on you, the S&G ride is just the song Sounds of Silence played at half speed and on repeat for the entirety of the ride.’
BullshitPeddler

‘We ended up with “The Informative” and a side of “Restaurant.” Quite pleasant.’
That1Girrl

‘Spent 4 years of my youth just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska and can confirm the Informative Ride is #truth.’
buckeyespud

‘I want to ride with him a lot. I want all the rides.’
SmallTownJerseyBoy

And just in case you were wondering about the driver.

‘The driver was an elderly man with a BEYOND immaculate car. It was clear he took his job seriously and wanted everyone to have a pleasant ride. 10/10 wholesome.

‘The driver has given permission to reveal his name. It’s Jeffrey, and he’s a Vietnam vet. Driving helps fund his retirement. If you find yourself in Fairbanks, try to catch a ride from him, and ask him about his famous “monkey story.”
That1Girrl

‘By just reading this I thought “I’d take rides with him just to check out different menu choices!”. What a wonderful man.’
Rhyav

To conclude …

‘Great Ride.’
